Dear Family,
We were saddened to hear of "Emmer's" passing. She was one of the people of the Alarka community that I could sit and listen to for hours. My wife and I stopped by to see her a while before she moved to Washington and that day she told many stories of her hunting experiences and was so excited to show our sons the trophys that she earned for all her years of wondering the Great Smokies...Rest in peace Emmer...as we all called her and we will talk some more in heaven some day....
