Pat - I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. She was also so very nice to me every time I saw her. I will always remember your Mom sitting with my Mom and Dad at the basketball games. I know they enjoyed that time with her so much. The last time I saw her she mentioned that to me. Just going through the loss of my Mom I understand what you are going through. You are in my prayers.

Pat--Much like Stub Hyde, I've been gone from Bryson City for decades, but it remains and always will be the home of my heart. That's in no small part thanks to folks like your mother. I have many and varied memories, all of them fond, of both your parents. Seeing them drinking coffee or eating with Coach "Pee Wee" Jones in Dent's Café, remembering their presence at school-related functions, and most importantly, the role they shared with so many others as staunch local citizens. Take solace in knowing that Frances was a fine woman. I'll always remember her with fondness. Jim Casada
