We are filled with smiles, joy, and love whenever we think of Eugene. He was more than a big brother for Scotty. He was a role model for family life and a true friend. Scotty is filled with unumerable memories from hauling logs as small little boy to being shoulder to shoulder as an adult while they fished together. Our home is filled with little gifts from Gene, from bread pans to knives, but our hearts are filled with his memory as he can't be forgotten. As for Melody, I remember him first as my dear friend's father, and what a loving father he was. As life went on I saw him as a loving husband and my brother. I was embraced by him each time we greeted each other with a hug that I could get lost in. As for Seth and Isaac, they will eternally remember their Uncle Gene, for a larger than life man that he was. They always came back with a smile and a story after spending a day with Eugene on the creek bank. They also came back full of memories, his tall tales, and his delicious "bacon fish" he fried up for them. We will be changed by his passing but not like how we were changed by being blessed to be his family. We miss our brother and big uncle Gene! We love him until we see him again, undoubtedly he will be trying to fish the crystal sea. SEE YOU THERE! Patsy, Gena, Shannon, and Robyn, We love you ladies and are thankful that God blessed you with such a wonderful man to call husband and father.
