Me and Leahmen shared many days in cashiers working together. I rember the days being long and full of hard work and laughter. Leahmen would wake up every morning cook breakfast drink coffee and read a Bible passage before work. Leahmen was kind enough to give me a opportunity to work with him when I was going thru a rough time. I will forever love him!! He was my uncle my brother and my friend I will always remember what he taught me!!

Leahman was unique. I never met anyone quite like him: a big man with a bigger personality and an even bigger heart for people.
I was mesmerized by all the great and amazing stories he would recount about his life and adventures. When I first heard them, I thought he was exaggerating. I came to learn they were true.
His big, booming voice and ear-to-ear grin always brought a smile to my face.
On the surface, he and I were very different. But below that surface we were kindred spirits. While I admire so many things about him--his sharp wit, his varied interests, his many talents--what I most appreciate was his deep love for his family and friends, his goodness, and his selflessness.
It is no exaggeration to say you could not ask for a better friend.

Dear Mary ,Phillip &,family ,
I am so so sorry to hear of Leahman passing away. I am sure I don't need to tell you how much I love you and both Phillip & Leahman . He was as old timey country as I am and like me definitely born in the wrong century he was one of those men just like daddy either he liked you or he didn't there wasn't no in between and you didn't want him on your bad side . In the days ahead you will all be in my thoughts and prayers for God to provide you with comfort and peace knowing you will see him again . This isn't goodbye it's just until we meet again.
Love,
Ada King

Leahman was definitely one of a kind! I knew him for years as a friend of the family! The last time we talked several years ago when I worked at the bank and he was our customer, he talked very seriously about how he had changed his life due to certain circumstances that had happened to him! He was so proud of his family and his life! He was such a real person and if you listened to him you could tell he had changed! He will be missed by those who were fortunate to know and be his friend! Rest in peace my friend! I will love and miss you always! Prayers for the family!

Lisa, Morgan and Adam: Brian and I send our heartfelt condolences for Leahman's passing. Leahman and Brian shared a passion of working with their big diesel equipment or blowing something up to make something awesome out of a pile of dirt! We have some forever memories of Leahman that we will treasure until we see him again - and we know he has one heck of crowd around him and they are laughing like crazy as he's telling a few of his life stories. Going to miss that old friend of ours, and know we share in the pain of his passing. Love and prayers to all of you. Patricia and Brian Carnes

Leahman was full of life and it was an honor to have met and known him . I sure he will be missed . I watched him work on his dozer and loaders . That was when he seemed happy. He was a good man.

I have many stories about Leahman. He lived next to us in his camper in Helper, Utah in 1983. There were a few tramp miners who did at that time. Leahman was always laughing and bringing me treats to eat as I was pregnant with my first born. He also dug up my parents pipes in Sylva and of course they loved him too. Fly free ole friend.
