Obituary of Robert Steven Tyler

Steve peacefully went home to be with the Lord last night with his wife, Karen Mara and his puppies, Hannah, Chloe and Bliss by his side just as he wished after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Welcoming him home is his momma Thelma Louise Tyler and Ed Tyler and his dad Harold Tyler. Steve worked as a crazy 20 something, climbing radio towers for Piedmont Communications. The stories he could tell. He had his own business as a social security disability representative. Steve worked for Ample Storage and then was joined by his wife Karen and they ran the Cardinal Self Storage in Raleigh. Ask anybody, Steve was a true die hard UNC fan. He followed Carolina women's soccer forever.... Go Heels! Steve had most amazing smile and warmed a room when entering. His love for his children, Jessica Tyler, Rachel Harper and Dillon Tyler and his grandchildren Logan, Lexi and Landon was a beautiful proudful thing. He leaves 3 beautiful sisters, Frances Thomas, Karen Tyler and Gail Lawing and two brothers. A Celebration of Life will be held in lieu of services; the Celebration of Steve will be held at the Event Space at East End on Davis, Burlington NC.
