Obituary of Gage Montgomery Parris
Please share a memory of Gage to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gage Parris, 23, had a way of getting places before anyone else. On the morning of September 25, 2023, he donned his helmet in Whittier and started down the highway. He passed us doing what he loved.
His dad, Andrew Parris, was the only man faster than him, and the two of them are likely debating whether a flaming chariot is better turbo- or super-charged.
Gage is survived by his loving mother, Samantha McFalls; his multi-talented sister, Monroe Parris; his older brother and frequent accomplice, Rory Parris; his supportive grandparents, Ivor and Linda Parris; and his devoted fiance, Micaela Elbein.
Gage was always tinkering, researching, and breaking things to fix them again. He watched his dad modify a car into the fastest thing on the road, and found his own passion for cars. Through testing the limits of his own vehicles, he gained an impressive knack for repairs that led him to be a promising automotive technician.
Gage didn't hesitate to lend a hand, no matter where he was needed or what time, and he could teach just as well as he could work.
Gage didn't compete with people just for the competition - he liked to optimize, and he spent his life optimizing the time he shared to be the best time spent. Gage was a best friend for a multitude of people, and he more than earned it. He never had to compete for anything, but he raced to be better every day.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 6:00 pm at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
