There are so many precious memories I have of Fannie but the one that stands out is when we were kids.We lived just below Gainey and Fannie. We were always walking up to their home to visit. We had a Collie dog named Ginger which everyone loved. Wherever we went Ginger went. Ginger was very protective of children. We were sitting on the porch laughing and playing. Fannie had a switch she used to swat bees as everyone had back then. She picked it up and was swatting and playing with us kids. Ginger came to our rescue and went to Fannie putting 2 teeth bites in her hip about 2 inches long. Dad paid her doctor bill Ginger went to Dog jail for several days (against Fannie's will). This was a day we all remember. Fannie will be missed. She was a precious lady. See you again someday Fannie. Rest in peace. Love ❤️ you

So sorry for your loss. Fannie was special to everyone. She called me Libby even though my is Elizabeth. Fannie worked in the lunchroom when I went to school. I took a liking to Fannie and she took a liking to me. We stayed friends all these years. Every time we saw each other we hugged and talked for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Fannie was a great person and will dearly missed by many. RiP Fannie. Till I see you again. Love you Fannie. ❤

I met Fannie while delivering to the Swain Co. School system with Sysco Food Services. Fannie was always the sweetest person. She was one of a kind. There will never be another like her. She had a heart as big as gold.

Let me tell you, when you're a kid in elementary school and your Granny is the Lunch Lady, life is good. She always made me feel special. For no other reason than I was HER grandchild. I miss you Granny Fannie. Rest easy.
