Obituary of Don Lackey
Don Lackey, 75, went home to be with the Lord on the 20th of June, at his home in Swain County. A native of Swain County, son of the late Mamie and Tom Lackey. Don is preceded in death by his son Jeff, grandson Micah, and his sister Connie
Don is survived by his wife of 58 years Joan, son Rick, daughter Donna and husband Alan, his three grandchildren Mack, Seth, and Luke, his brother Homer, and his loving dog Ruby.
Don was a multi-skilled, versatile hard worker. He loved the game of golf and was an avid golfer. He liked camping, spending time at the lake, and was a skilled fisherman. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family.
