Very sorry to hear about Don. He and I sure loved to play poker together and he always made me laugh. I will miss knowing he is in the world. I always thought the world of Joan and him.

I am so sorry to hear about Don's passing. A friend from Bryson City just happened to mention it to me. I am so sorry for all your loss. He was always very good to me. I talked to him a couple of months ago by phone and he sounded good. I am thankful I got to at least talk to him. Prayers and deepest of sympathy for all of you.

I knew Don through my friendship with his wife, Joan, my co-worker for many years at Fontana Regional Library. Don was an outgoing, friendly man who was always kind to me. He would do his best to try to be helpful to everyone. My deepest sympathy to my dear friend, Joan, and her entire family.
Love and hugs,

Kathy Wright posted a condolence

Don was in my life for approximately 60 years since the time he started seeing my sister, Joan. Not long after he became my brother in law. Don was always good to me. I remember trips he took us on, my almost driving their car into Deep Creek when he was letting me practice driving, and our mutual love for thrifting, bartering and fishing. He was always on the lookout for kettles and other stuff for my art. He accepted me for me and I will miss him.
My condolences go out to my sister, Joan, his kids, Rick and Donna, and his grandchildren, Mack, Seth and Luke. Also, to extended family on both sides.
May the Lord give comfort to you in this time of grief. Much love,
Kathy Wright
