We were friends for life being raised across the street from one another.I saw him last at the end of September at Cherokee football game. We talked for 15 to 20 minutes to sort of catch up. Iasked were Rock was and he said he was on his way back from a fishing trip (he told me he couldn't make them anymore). Rock called while we were talking to say they were just getting home. I will miss him greatly. I am glad he was in my life.

Please accept my sinceriest apology. This is Kerri Lee, TL’s daughter. I inadvertently left out 3 of my Dad’s FAVORITE nephews in his obituary. They are RAY BARGER, MIKE BARGER and PAT BARGER. My cousins meant the world to my father and to our family and leaving their names out was a huge mistake. I am sincerely very sorry. Kerri Lee Williams.

Our prayers are with all of the family. I always considered Talmedge a good friend and he was such an asset to Swaim County and Bryson City.
He also represented Swain High School football with such pride which wa evident in the way he played.

Judy and family,
My deepest sympathies in your loss. TL was a great, good humored and generous man, who I came to know first when we were students at Western Carolina. In the years that followed, his dedication to his family and his community were very apparent and very admirable. He certainly touched and bettered the lives of many. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Gary Brown.
