Obituary of Nora Elizabeth May Turner

Nora Harman Turner, 86, of Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord, Monday September 11, 2017. A resident of Robbinsville, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay and Effie May Harman, and wife of the late Rev. Julian P. Turner Sr. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, William and Homer Harman; three sisters, Rosalee Yutzy, Lucille Thomas, and Mary Catherine Barr, and a son John G. Turner.
Nora was a Missionary's wife having met her husband at Asbury College. She devoted her life to the Lord in doing the Lord's work. She retired from Robbinsville Elementary School after many years of service.
She is survived by three sons, Julian Turner Jr. and wife Alyne of Robbinsville, James H. Turner of Robbinsville, and Joel W. Turner and wife Melody of Robbinsville; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Ernestine Harman of Petersburg, WV, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Buffalo Baptist Church. Rev. J.B. Smith will officiate with burial in the Church Cemetery.
Nora will be taken back to Buffalo Baptist Church at 5:00 PM Wednesday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service.
