James (Dan) Underwood, 69, of the Tuskeegee community in Graham County wnet home to be with the Lord Monday, January 30, 2012 at his home. A native of South Carolina, he had lived in Graham County for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Methodist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jones Underwood; two sons, James Daniel Underwood, Jr. of Ocala, FL, David T. Underwood of Myakka City, FL; four stepsons, Greg Snyder of Sarasota, FL, Greg Jones of Bryson City, Joe Jones of Asheville, William J. Jones of Clemson, SC; one step daughter, Shelly Jones of Six Mile, SC; one sister, Patricia U. Neal of Dalton, GA; one brother, Michael Underwood of Brandenton, FL; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the residence at 157 Pine Lake Ridge, Robbinsville, NC 28771.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
