Obituary of Bobby Lee Amburn

Bobby L. Amburn, 80, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2016, surrounded by his family. He passed away peacefully following an extended illness. Bobby was born at Proctor, North Carolina on September 22, 1935, to the late Cargus and Ella Mae Amburn.
Bobby worked as a custodian for Swain County Schools for thirty years. He was a faithful employee who took great pride in his work and was dedicated to helping those around him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Amburn; three sisters, Ruth Lowe, Edna Jenkins, and Louise Amburn; and two nephews.
Surviving are his sister, Willa Lowe of Bryson City; brother, Ralph Amburn of Detroit, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 2nd in the chapel of the Crisp Funeral Home. The Reverend Charles Ray Ball will officiate with burial in the Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 2nd prior to the services at the Funeral Home.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice and special friends, Peggy Hayes, Mitchell Jenkins, and David Lowe for their help and care of Bobby during his illness.
