Jackie, John and Family,
I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. During my youth, Mr. Welch was a constant in the life and doings of the Town of Bryson City. I'll always be grateful for the regular encouragement (and the occasional attitude adjustment) he would give us youngsters as we roamed the town. God bless and keep you.

Jackie, I am sorry to learn this morning of Jack"s passing. I will always remember him
playing the bass for the "Friendly Mountain Boys" group when Gene was still living. He was always very nice to us.

First, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. However, I know he is celebrated in Heaven by so many wonderful family members, yet I know your hearts are sad in missing him already.
He was a great man, a kind man, a loving man who adored his family. We are blessed to have known him here on earth, and I know he'll save is a spot at the card table until we meet again.
All my love and strength,
Amanda

Our love and prayers to the family. Jack was such a nice uncle, and it was always fun to come over from Knoxville to visit, when I was growing up. Have great memories of those visits, and Jack always was so welcoming and had such a fun sense of humor. We'll miss him. Love, --Edward and Irene

My sympathies to the Welch family.
I met Jack ad Moeina Welch when I got out of Swain High in 1965. I went to work for Attorneys Robert Leatherwood and George Davis and we attended to city business with him and met Moeina when she was in his office. I have very fond memories of them ..they were good folks !!
