Obituary of Ernest Locust, Jr.

Ernest Locust Jr., 37, of the Big Cove Community, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 30, 2016. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of the late Ernest Sr. and Elsie Driver Locust. He was a member of Goose Creek Baptist Church and a member of Qualla Arts and Crafts.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Sally Locust and Ina and Jim Driver; cousins, Kirk Locust and Patrick George, and a nephew, Brandon Pheasant Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Debra Locust; daughter, Kendall LuAnne "LuCee" Jackson of Cherokee; sisters, Ellie Maney (Robert), Jenny Maney (Jack), Ivy Locust, and Bonnie George (William); Brother, Clyde Locust; two stepsons, Brent Hull, and A.J. Hull; step grandchildren, Anastia Hull and Christopher Hull; nieces and nephews, McKenzy Locust, Jolie Locust, Leland Locust, Rayden Locust, Jade George, Ilana George, Chelsea George, Tosha Maney, Emily Maney, Jack Maney Jr., Raven Pepion, Robert Maney Jr., Elijah Maney, Luci Locust, Ernest Locust III, and many grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday at Goose Creek Baptist Church. Rev. James Gunter will officiate with burial in the Locust Family Cemtery.
The body will be taken back to the Church at 4:00 PM Friday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be Jack Maney, William (Goat) George, A.J. Hull, McKenzy Locust, Eric Crowe, and Darius Gibson.
