Obituary of Sarah Glenda Anthony

Sarah Glenda Anthony, 65, of the Deep Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 7, 2016. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Venis and Edna Watkins.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Emory Lawrence Anthony; three children, Lisa Weeks and husband Glenn of Bryson City, Emory Anthony of Bryson City, and Brian Anthony and wife Mandy of Candler; four grandchildren, Alisha Lambert of Bryson City, Zachary Weeks of Bryson City, Lily Anthony of Bryson City, and Payton Anthony of Candler; one sister, Debbie Rasmussen and husband Bob of Boone, and brothers O'dell, Larry, and Alan Watkins all of Bryson City.
A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Friday at Whittier Baptist Church in Whittier, NC. Rev. Terry Taylor will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Friday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Whittier Baptist Church at PO Box 323, Whittier, NC 28789 for a donation to the Rathbun House in Asheville, NC in memory of Sarah Anthony.
