Curtis G. Anthony, 67, of the Lands Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Monday February 15, 2016 in a Swain County Healthcare Facility. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late John and Hazel Cook Anthony. He was a member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Tadlock. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Gail Jenkins Anthony; one son Brian Anthony and wife Beverley of Bryson City; one daughter Amanda Sutton and husband Brandon of Bryson City; four grandchildren Sarabeth, Abbygail, Jessica, and Summer; two great grandchildren Silas and Danielle; one brother Ken Cook of Oregon; one sister Lethea Styles of Whittier; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Shepherds Creek. Rev. Danny Conner will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
