Obituary of Paulette Davis

Paulette Laws Davis, 92, of Bryson City went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in a Jackson County Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Branton Laws.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Charles Davis of 42 years, Lewis Sherrill of 10 years and Jack Davis of three years; four brothers, Wade, Ed, RL and David Laws; and one sister, Lucille Payne.
She is survived by three children, Charles and Sylvia Davis of Eastman, GA, Betty Martin of Bryson City, Patsy and Homer Holland of Franklin, NC; two sisters, Louise Styles and Pauline Sanders of Marion, NC; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild.
Paulette was a godly woman who will be dearly missed. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was loved by many foster children who she cared for for 20 years starting in 1961. She had a beautiful soul.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Fouts will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Weeks, Paul Francis, Clyde Kendrick, Robert Kendrick, Samuel Griffin, Samuel Kendrick and Billy Familo.
