Obituary of Lou Ellen King

Lou (Ellen) King, 80, of the Franklin Grove Community went home to be with the Lord Saturday October 31, 2015 in a Swain County Healthcare Facility. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Hyman and Freda Lowe Hayes.
She was preceded in death by two sons Mike Ball and David King; four brothers, James Hayes, Charles Hayes, Tommy Hayes, and Jack Dempsy Hayes; and one sister Hazel Richardson.
She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Cochran of Asheville, Missy Polson and husband Curtis of Bryson City; one son Rick Ball of Bryson City; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha Bryant and Kathryn Cody of Bryson City; and one brother Bob Hayes and wife Peggy of Bryson City.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. David Birch will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
