Obituary of Edwin Clyde Lee

Bryson City Dateline: Edwin Clyde Lee, 89, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 21st, 2012 in Tsali Care Center. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Sam and Lola Weeks Lee. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in WWII. He retired with General Motors with 10 years of Service. He is survived by one son, Charles Edwin Lee and wife Sharon of Stanley, NC; one step daughter, Brenda Fisher of Bryson City; two sisters, Mildred Barfield of Camden, SC, and Joann Cook of Smithfield, VA; five grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; a nephew Steve Harp of Bryson City, and a faithful canine companion Bo. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Sale will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park with Military Graveside rites conducted by the VFW Post 9281 in Bryson City.
