JoAnne you were one of the sweetest and most caring kind person I knew. She always went above and beyond to help other people. She worked in the Financial Aid Office at Western Carolina University and she always was making sure that her kids as she called them got taken care of with their financial issues. She so enjoyed her job and also being Mrs Santa Claus at Christmastime in Dillsboro. She would be there every Friday and Saturday to hug and greet all the little girls and boys. I met JoAnne many years ago and she never once passed me that she didn't speak. God pick JoAnne as one of his special angels and took her home. She is now out of her suffering and pain.

It was with great sadness to hear of the passing of Mrs. Foster. I had the privilege of knowing her from a young age. She was one of the most genuine, kind hearted, and caring women that I have ever met. No matter where I saw her she would always go out of her way to talk with my brother and I. I will cherish the memories that I have of running into her and Mr. Foster at the various restaurants in Bryson City, especially Pizza Hut. I thank God for bringing her into my life and for the role that she played in it. I take comfort in knowing that she is now with our Father in Heaven and that I will most certainly see her again.
My condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with the entire Foster family and especially Mr. Foster at this time. He, like Jo Anne, I also hold a high respect and love for. May God give you strength, comfort, and peace at this time.
Sincerely,
Brett Davis

I'm so sorry about the loss of Mrs Foster/ Mrs. Clause. I met her while working at Santa's land, and she was the sweetest lady that I have met. Both her husband and her helped me out while I was working at Santa's land. I met Mr. Foster while he was a substitute at my elementary school and I am now in college. If I was not away from home I would be at her funeral. I didn't even get to say goodbye since I left Santa's land sooner than expected. I will miss her greatly and will be comforted by the fact that she is home now.

As I remember Joanne, I seem to see her literally walking through the song "I Bowed On My Knees and Cried Holy" as she entered into Heaven. She was such an inspiration to others during her years at WCU. She will be missed but not forgotten. Blessing and comfort to the family in the coming days.

Larry,
We are saddened by Jo Anne's home going. I will never forget what one dear saint said to someone who said, "I'm sorry that you lost George." Her response was priceless. She said, "I didn't lose him honey. I know exactly where he is." We didn't lose Jo Anne. We know where she is and we will all see her again. Until then, we will continue to lift you and Ela Baptist Church up to God.
Love and Prayers,
Buddy and Linda Copeland

Larry,
We were so sad to hear about JoAnne passing away. I am thankful that I had an opportunity to be in her life as I worked with her for many years. She always went the extra mile to help people and she will be sorely missed. I'll always remember getting the royal treatment at Santa's Land when I took my grandchildren. The picture she took of all of us is on my refrigerator. JoAnne is someone you never forget when she touches your life.
