Garner G. Robinson, 82,of Bryson City, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 in a Jackson County health care facility. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late John and Grace Evans Goodson. She was a member of the Women's Democrat Party. She was a loving wife and mother to five daughters. She loved traveling and sewing. She was preceded in death by her brother John Goodson Jr. and sister Helen Sears. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Bennie Robinson; five daughters, Cherie Robinson and husband John Forker of CT, Byna Ayers and husband Gary of Balsam, Audrey Gaddis and husband Steve of Bryson City, Lynn English of Asheville, and Bennie Rennee` Janik of Bryson City; 9 grandchildren, Christy Rice, Angel Prince, Ben Ayers, Jonathan Forker, Alexandria Janik, Tanner and Ryan Allen, Hannah Gaddis and Christian Janik; three great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law Nettie Oliver of CA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Red Cross at PO Box 4002018 Des Moines, IA 50340-2018.
