Lee Thorne Carpenter, 82, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in a Swain County health care facility.
A native of Moore County, NC, she had been a resident of Swain County for the past 10 years. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Ocala, FL.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters; and one daughter, Diane Regen.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Carpenter; one daughter, Debra Terry and husband Lee of Rockfish, NC; one grandpup, Prissy, who meant the world to her; and one grandchild, Ron Regen.
No services are planned.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
