Members of Virginia's family, please accept my sincere sympathies. I knew Virginia from the time we were quite small. Indeed, I think we may have gone through all 12 grades of school together, and since our last names both began with the letter "C," we were always in the same class and then home room in high school.
Virginia was, throughout all her years, sweet, endlessly upbeat, and always a beam of brightness when you were around her. We had any number of delightful chats when she lived at Twin Oaks Apartments, next to the house where I grew up and and where I spent considerable time in my father's final years. She would take short walks and stop to chat as a worked in the garden.
Also, she cut my mother's hair for decades and with Mom as an intermediary we sort of kept touch.
She was immensely and rightly proud of her sons, their wives, and her grandchildren, and as I'm sure you boys know, she did a wonderful job in raising you.
My deepest sympathies. She was a grand woman.

Mike & Regina,
The Bible conveys a message that death is not the end of life; it is only the body that perishes, the spirit can never die ... it continues to live. This thought brings a lot of comfort during the time of sorrow. When the heart weeps for the end of a dear one's life, the mind tells you that this is not the end, but a new beginning of the journey with God. Nonetheless, when grief over death, strikes us, it becomes difficult to be able to think rationally.
The fact that we will not be able to speak to the person again, to hold, touch, smile, or even argue with him or her, is enough to make us feel vulnerable and helpless. Life would never be the same without their presence, but it is important to move on, as they too have moved on from this journey of life to the next.

Virginia was a very special friend of mine and I am going to miss her tremendously.
We usually had a couple of visits a day. If I did not see her, I knew she was probably
sick. She was a very special person whom I adored. The family will be in my thoughts
and prayers in the days ahead.
