Obituary of Ray Milles Ogle

July 5, 2011 Bryson City………………………Dateline Ray Milles Ogle, 82, Went to be with The Lord July 4, 2011. Ray was a native of Valdese N.C. and was the son of the late Ernest E. and Mary McGalliard Ogle. Ray was former Pastor of Round Hill Baptist Church for 6 ½ years and sang at various Churches in Swain County. He was employed byFair Lane and Bryson Manufacturing before his retirement. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Ray resided in Bryson City for many years and is survived by his wife of 61 years Naomi Colene Golden Ogle of Bryson City. Also surviving are 2 Sons- Larry Ray Ogle of Watertown, Tenn and Michael Lee Ogle of Taylorsville,NC 3 Daughters- Linda Kay Ogle Mackey of Candler, NC, Sharon Jean Ogle Wyatt of Sylva, NC, and Patricia Ann Ogle Fortner of Bryson City. Ray was the Grandfather of 10 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by an identical twin brother- Roy Ogle and 3 sisters- Cleo Vaughn Green, Margie Hipps and Valera Harmon. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2011 in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rays son Larry Ogle and The Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Service at the Funeral Home from 1 until 2 PM. A Private graveside service will follow for the family. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Westcare Hospice of Jackson County, NC. Ray was loved by his family and friends and the family would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You for your love and support during this hard time.
