Obituary of Percival Jack Cline

Bryson City Dateline Percival Jack Cline, 84, of the Galbreath Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 8, 2011 at his residence with his loving family by his side. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Andrew and Sally Styles Cline. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sebie Cline and a sister, Irene Bradley; two grandsons, Richard Cline and Kevin Burrell; and one great grandson, Bryce Crisp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. He was a charter member and deacon of Galbreath Creek Baptist Church. He was retired with the N.C.D.O.T. with 27 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Webb Cline; three sons, Jack Cline of Bryson City, Danny Cline of Monroe, Rick Cline and wife Brenda of Fredricksburg, Virginia; one daughter, Linda Cline of Bryson City; four sisters, Edna Wiggins of Bryson City, Amanda Davis of Doylestown, Ohio, Mary Pruett of Greer, SC, Tela King of Crawford, GA; nine grandchildren, Tammy Watkins, Betty Sue Alexander, Johnny Cline, Jonathan Cline, Stacy Rothschild, Robert Cunningham, Liana Crisp, Pete Allison, Jack Owens; 10 great grandchildren, Sarah Faudere, Justin Cline, Michael Watkins, Logan Rothschild, Madyson and Morgyn Cunningham, Kandyce and Brady Crisp; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Harold Webb and Robert Cunningham will officiate with burial in the Thomas Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
