Bryson City Dateline Virginia Justice Pattillo, 91, of Arlington Ave. passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at her residence. A native of Macon County, she had been a resident of Swain County since 1955. She was the daughter of the late Bunyan and Rosa Belle Duvall Justice and wife of the late Robert L. Pattillo. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was an excellent cook and homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Lydia Pattillo and husband Tim McGrat of Franklin, Barbara Gagliardo and husband Gus of Franklin, NC; one son, Robert Samuel Pattillo and wife Norma of Bryson City; four grandchildren, Sarah Gagliardo, Rob Pattillo, Lee Pattillo, Brette Pattillo; and one sister, Helen Ammons of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Bryson City First Baptist Church of which she was a member and former Sunday School Teacher. Revs. Dr. John Tagliarini and Ted Duncan will officiate with burial in Holly Springs Cemetery in Franklin, NC. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Care Hospice, 132 Sylva Plaza, Sylva, NC 28779.
