Margaret Breedlove Burnette, 73, of Lower Alarka, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 15th, 2011 at her home. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dessie Bates Breedlove. She was a member of High Tower Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Burnette.
She is survived by one daughter, Dawn Oliver and husband Tony of Bryson City, one son Terry Bailey and wife Diane of Bryson City, one step son, Michael Burnette and wife Janet of Arden, one step daughter, Diane Kirkland of Bryson City, four grandchildren, Joshua Oliver and wife Stephanie, Lytisha Shuler and husband Daryle, Isaac Bailey and wife Myria, and Tessa Adkins and husband Bryan, five Step Grandchildren, Kevin Burnette, Hannah Burnette, Jennifer Kelly, Sarah Franklin, and Trenton Franklin, 7 great grandchildren, one sister, Geraldine Hyde of Smyrna, GA, and three brothers, Paul Breedlove of Atlanta, GA, Arnold Breedlove of Huntsville, ALA, and David Breedlove of Bryson City.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald Owens will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
