Obituary of Rebecca Atris Reeves

Rebecca Atris Reeves, 66, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 26, 2011 in a Jackson County health care facility. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Ora Mae Duvall Waldroup; and wife of the late Claude Reeves. She was a member of Tellico Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one granddaughter, Marie. She is survived by four children, JoAnne Stephenson and husband Dennis of Bryson City, Jessie Greene of Waynesville, Edward Greene of Bryson City, Teresa Walls and husband Troy of Bryson City; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Waldroup of Hampton, VA, and Eugene Waldroup of Warwick, R.I. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Gary McCoy and Marty Pressley will officiate with burial in Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
