Helen L. Marr, 81, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Julie Tucker Lemons. She was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Arvin Marr; one son, Tom Marr and wife Dana of Perciville, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral home. Revs. Jim Cochran, Ronnie Owens, and Charles Ray Ball will officiate with burial in the Tabor Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
