John Calvin Ledford, 63, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 14, 2011 at Bryson City Assisted Living Center. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Grady and Eula Buchanan Ledford. He was an avid Fisherman and Outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Simonds and a brother, J.A. Ledford.
He is survived by three children, Rebecca L. Woods of Bryson City, Cynthia K. Woods of Franklin, NC and John F. Ledford of Sylva, NC; four sisters, Beulah Bunger of Franklin, Nebraska, Learlene Ledford, Christine Watkins, and Carmen Cline all of Bryson City, NC; two brothers, Roger Ledford of Bryson City, and Charlie Ledford of Franklin, NC; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Fox will officiate with burial in Holly Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
