Shawna- Our prayers are with you today as you celebrate the blessing of your mother's life. You have much to give thanks for, with her for your mama, but that also makes the loss of her so painful. She was a special woman, but she left so much of herself here on Earth with us, in you. We will carry you through today on our prayers. She is looking down from Heaven, proud of you and the strength you have right now.

Shawna, our love and prayers are with you for the loss of your mom.She was always so proud of you,you are the love of her life.Your mom touched so many lives with her caring and kind attitude;her laughter. When I was in a class at WCU for nursing,I had to do a long term research paper and it had to be typed.I talked with your mom about it,and asked her how much she would charge me to type it;it ended up being 45 pages long. When I went to get the paper, she would not take any money, she said,"I am so proud of you, this is my gift to you for graduation." We always talked about that when we talked. Always remember she is still with you, your guardian angel watching out from above. We love you.

Shawna, my thoughts and prayers are with you right now during this difficult time. Linda was such a special lady and she was so proud of you! I will never forget when we all met in Raleigh at Teaching Fellows all those years ago. I know you've lost more than a mother in her passing. I know she is smiling down on you from Heaven. May God bless you and comfort you always.

Shawna,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother. I know you two were as much like sisters as mother and daughter. She talked about her lovely daughter each and every time I ever talked to her. She had so much joy and happiness in her life through you. My prayers are with you. Love Judy Woodard Baines

Shawna, I am so sorry for the loss of your mama. I loved her so very much and during the time I worked with her and lived in Bryson City she became a mama to me since I was away from mine. She watched over me because she knew I was sick and because she loved me. That was just what a wonderful person she was. I know you were her world. She was so very proud of you as she should be. You are such a sweet, caring person just like her. I have never known a mother and daughter who more close than the two of you. I hadn't got to see her in such a long time and I missed her terribly as I did all my Swain friends. But I will always remember her wonderful smile and her laughter and what a beautiful person she was. And I know I will see her again one day in Heaven. My heart breaks for you and I am here for you if you need anything. Love you. Kristy
