Bryson City Dateline: Pauline Parris Cody, 74, of the Alarka Community, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday February 19th, 2011 in a Swain County Nursing Facility. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Wheeler and Ida Phillips Parris. She was a member of the Bryson City Church of God. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wheeler Junior Parris and one sister, Ella Mae Watkins. She is survived by two sons, Charles Cody of Almond, and Randy Cody and wife Faye of Bryson City; one brother, Gentry Parris of Sylva; two sisters, Lorene Gasaway, and Audrey Stroud both of Bryson City; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Eugene Moore and Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. An online register is available at www.crispfuneralhome.org
