Lora Lee Smith, 43, of the Balltown Community went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 31, 2010. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of Annie Mae Higdon Smith of Bryson City and the late Lonnie Ray Smith. She was a supervisor at the Quality Inn in Cherokee. She is preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Ray Smith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Ryan Keith Watty of Bryson City; two sisters, Lesia Smith of Bryson City, Dee Dee DeHart and husband Wayne of Bryson City; one brother, Jimmy Smith and wife Michelle of St. Petersburg, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate with burial in the DeHart Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
