Dixie was my friend and classmate at Swain High. She was outgoing with an easy smile. She was my partner in the three-legged-race in the school's May Day activities. We won. I always enjoyed seeing her at Naber's, rushing about like a teenager. Our sympathy goes out to her family and may God bless them and comfort them in their grief. The world will be less friendly without her.

I am sending this for Blanche Monteith, because she doesn't have a computer.
Blanche was so upset to hear that Dixie had passed away while she was in Gastonia visiting with her nephew and his family. Blanche said that she had just seen Dixie before she left for her holiday trip, so she was really shocked. She will miss her friend, but she has great memories of their times together. She extends her heartfelt sympathies to the family.

Debbie and Summer, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your mom and grandmother, was one of the sweetest women I’ve ever known. She always had a nice smile and friendly greeting for everyone. Na-ber's was never the same without Dixie! She was so proud of you two, and all of Summer's accomplishments. Dixie touched the hearts of so many people. She and Tommy are together again.
