A pilgrim (J.T. Ammons), 70, of Needmore Community has arrived home on October 16, 2014. Survived by his wife Ruth Raby Ammons of 52 years; three sons Jimmy and wife Debbie of Bryson City, Jerry of Cal., and Keith and wife Amber of Tenn; three grandchildren Megan and Daniel Ammons of Bryson City and Kolton Ammons of Tenn.; one sister Frances and husband Charles Worley of Maiden NC; two brothers Billy and wife Nancy of Bryson City, and Neil and wife Cindy of Georgia; three nieces Shae Ammons, and Tonya and Patty Worley, and one nephew Justin Ammons. He is Preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Merrill, one brother Wendell Joe Ammons; and one great niece, Bryley Shae Teal. He was a member and Deacon of Hightower Baptist Church for many years. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Hightower Baptist Church. Revs. Daniel Stewart, Eddie Stillwell, Frank Brooks, and Rondal Owen will officiate with burial in the Grave Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the Church. Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
