Floyd Allen Martin, 95, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in a Swain County Hospital. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late A.L. and Rose Fuller Martin. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife Mildred Shepherd Wiggins Martin; three brothers, Annis, Jack, and Walt, and one sister Bonnie.
He is survived by his wife of 5 years Etta Mae Martin; three daughters, Verna Wiggins Kirkland, Virginia Bridges and husband Harold, and Hazel Jones and husband Dave; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 9 step children; 25 step grandchildren; 52 step great grandchildren; 15 step great great grandchildren, and 6 step great great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Lowell York and James (Bo) Brown will officiate with burial in the Brendle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
