Obituary of James Norman York

James Norman York, 44, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of Clinton, SC but lived in Bryson City most of his life. He was a US Navy Veteran having served in the Persian Gulf Way. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his father, Gary York and wife Bobbie; mother, Carolyn Ball and husband Clyde; brother, Michael York and wife Jennifer; niece, Madison York; nephew, Daniel York; grandmother, Vergie York; step sister, Rachel Wittekind and husband John; step brother, Michael Ball; and two nieces and two nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Lowell York and Tony Cochran will officiate with burial in the Mason Branch Cemetery.
