Obituary of Samuel Emmett Walkingstick
"Buddy" Samuel Emmett Walkingstick, of Cherokee, NC, died on Sunday, August 10, 2014. He was born on October 25, 1965 in Cherokee, NC and was a member of the Qualla Wesleyan Methodist Church of Whittier, NC. Buddy is survived by his two brothers, Omer Buchanan and Danny Walkingstick, his father, Sammy Walkingstick Sr. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Ruby Reagan Toineeta and a special Aunt Pauline Reagan Dowdle. Buddy attended Cherokee High School and Southwestern Community College. A unique soul, Buddy was very good natured and had a gentle soul, and enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life. He will be greatly missed. Buddy was a licensed Psychologist and practiced in Atlanta, GA.
Funeral Services will be held in the Qualla Wesleyan Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 with the Rev. Jim Sexton conducting the service. Interment will follow in the Reagan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. Tuesday until before the service at the church on Wednesday.
