Obituary of Marilyn Maples Dent

Marilyn Maples Dent, 58, of Cherokee, went home to be with the Lord July 23, 2014 in a Buncombe County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Edna Lambert Maples. She was a charitable person and spent her life doing God's Work.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Ronald Maples, Charles Maples, and Curtis Lambert, and a sister Pat McCoy.
She is survived by two sisters, Linda Lambert and Sandra Bradley both of Cherokee; Daughter Cherise Maples of Davie, FL; three granddaughters, Jeyli, Lauryn, and Melani; and her son-in-law, Robert Linton of Davie, FL.
No Services are planned. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made by donating to her two favorite charities, Smile Train at PO Box 96231, Washington, D.C. 20090-6231 or to Disabled Veterans.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
