Glenda Cable
Mary Glenda Cable, a lifelong resident of Bryson City, NC went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2010. She was born on February 17, 1940. Glenda was the daughter of the late William Thomas Ball and Sinda Kilby Ball.
Glenda was surrounded by her family and friends during her final moments. She will be remembered as the anchor of her family, caring for each and every one in a unique way. Her smile and laughter inspired others to forget their worries and to cherish the simple things in life. Glenda enjoyed gardening, hosting family gatherings and attending Church. She was a member of the Jackson Line Baptist Church.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Roy Cable, a daughter, Dee Decker, a granddaughter, Amy Crane, three sisters, Opal Collins, Ola Lee and Judy Wade, and two brothers, Clyde Ball and James Ball, a brother-in-law, Arthur Wade and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Ball. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thurman Wiggins a brother, Jack Ball and a son, Darrell Wiggins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the Relay for Life.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
