Frances Jacks Beard, 79, of the School House Hill Community passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 in a Swain County Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Hollis and Nina Walker Jacks. She was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and her husband, Wayne Beard who died in 1996.
She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Sudderth of Murphy; sister-in-law, Faye Hannum; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Sale will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
