Obituary of Retta Jo Grant

Retta Jo Grant, 81, of the Grassy Branch Community went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 30, 2014 at her residence. A native of Waco, TX., she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Beatrice Lee McVey Barrington. She was a member of the Silvermine Baptist Church and a life member of the Bryson City VFW Post 9281 Ladies Auxiliary.
She loved her children and her husband.
She was preceded in death by two sons; and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jesse Grant; 11 children; 25 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and one sister, Jane Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Taylor will officiate with burial in the Silvermine Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
