Dear Family of Mrs. Ann Fox,
We send our sympathy in the loss of your beloved Mother and Grandmother.
We have known and loved Mrs. Fox as seasonal members of the Bryson City United Methodist since 1991. She was always such a kind and gentle lady that made us feel welcome with her winning smile and lovely conversation. Only within the past few years did I find out that she enjoyed the local wild flowers as much as I did. So we shared a special interest that was dear to both of us. She obviously contributed much to others by enabling them to be successful through good English skills and to enjoy good literature through her years of inspirational teaching. She touched and influenced many lives with her gentle and positive outlook. We are so blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing her. With our sympathy in your loss, Tom & Earlece Greenawalt

Jamie , Sherry and the family. Aa an 11th grade student, I learned to love and appreciate Mrs Fox. However, lately as a room-mate of my mothers's at Mountain View Manor, I got to know her as a kind, always smiling and compassionate lady. She and I have had several conversations and she was sharp as a tack. I don't think she forgot a student she ever taught and she spoke often of the family and how proud she was of them. Please know that the thoughts and prayers of our entire family who got to meet her are with you at this time. God gained a beautiful soul for his garden. With love always,
Linda Cline and the family of Wanda Cline.

It will be sad to not have Ann in the Sunday School class anymore. She was always friendly and welcoming to people including those from other areas. We will miss Ann at church, sitting in her usual place on a Sunday morning. She is at peace now and no longer in pain. Prayers are with all of her family.

Dear Jamie,
I was very saddened to hear about the passing of your mother. She was a great inspiration to me as a teacher. I remember fondly her courses in American Literature, which remains some of my favorite literature. I hope that your grief is alleviated in some small measure by the number of lives she touched in her teaching and in daily life.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Fox's death. I had her as a teacher in 1966. She was a wonderful teacer. I often saw her in stores in later years and she still always had time to speak. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.

Sherry and Mrs. Fox's family--Annette just e-mailed me news of Mrs. Fox's death. I remember her with great fondness even though I did not have a class under her. Those who did adored her engaging smile and gentle demeanor, and she was much admired as a teacher who influenced two generations of Swain High students. I just visited the 1960 Ridgerunner to look at her photograph and it was precisely as I recalled in my mind's eye--a big smile adorning the lovely face of an even lovelier person. You are in my thoughts in this time of sorrow.
