Obituary of Josephine Lance

Josephine Burchfield Lance, 90, of Gaston County, NC formerly of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her residence. A native of Bryson City, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ida McMahan Burchfield. She was preceded in death by her son David Brookshire, Sr.: and husband Julian C. Lance. She is survived by daughter Teresa Lance Anderson and husband Jerry C. of SC; son Frank Laws and wife Carolyn of Lincolnton; daughter Linnie Kiser and husband Marvin of Waco, NC and daughter Carlene Houlk and husband Danny of Maiden, NC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home. At 2:00 PM Sunday, she will be taken to Arlington Cemetery for a graveside service.
