Obituary of Linda Jones

Linda Jones, 57, of the Wilmont Community went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 7, 2014 at her residence. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Geraldine Dyer Brooks. She worked at Bryson Manufacturing for many years. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jess and Vinnie Brooks and Bill and Rosie Dyer; and her brother, Lintin Brooks. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Johnny H. Jones of Wilmont; one son, Brain Jones of Wilmont; brother, Clinton Brooks of Whittier; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Oscar and Ruth Green; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Lanny Nations will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
