Obituary of Nancy Joyce Anderson

Nancy Joyce (Nickie) Anderson, 64, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, December 9, 2013. A native of Buncombe County she was the daughter of the late William Harold and Gracie Inez Queen Anders. She was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Golden Colorado. She was preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Marie Carpenter; two brothers David Wayne and William Michael Anders. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, David Anderson; children Richard Mayne, Lionel Gendron, Eric Anderson, Michelle Bell and Michael; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three sisters Lois, Debi, and Linda; three brothers Bobby, Gene, and Brian and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Brian Myers will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
