Obituary of Ruby Lee Fuller

Ruby Lee Fuller, 82, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 25, 2013 in a Jackson County health care facility. A native of Cherokee County and longtime resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Newel and Vina Viola Abernathy Ward. She devoted her life to caring for her daughter with down syndrome. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fuller; son, James Fuller; and her grandson, Jeremy Nations. She is survived by three daughters, Nellie Denton and husband Joe, June Nations and husband Perry, and Ruby Ann Fuller, all of Bryson City; two sons, J.D. Fuller of Bryson City and Cleve Fuller and wife Mary Ellen of Oconee, SC; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Hughes and husband Hubert of Alabama. A memorial service will be held at 10 am Friday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Roger Roland and Benji Collins will officiate.
