Nellie Louise Crisp Wiggins passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 in a local nursing home. A native of Swain County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Janie Rider Crisp; her husband, Paul R. Wiggins; brothers, French, Clifford, and Everett Crisp; and sisters, Nina McCurry and Pauline Rice. Surviving is one sister, Betty Lou Jenkins of Bryson City and Many nieces and nephews. After graduating from high school, she went to work for Abe Simonds at Simonds Dry Goods. From there, she went to Belks and worked until her retirement. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8th from 1 - 2 p.m. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home with burial in Swain Memorial Gardens. Rev. Larry Foster will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
