Cherokee Dateline: John Lewis Bradley, 54, of the Birdtown Community, passed away, Monday, August 30th, 2010 at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son Hugh J Bradley and of the late Maggie Cucumber Bradley of Cherokee. He was an employee at Cherokee Post Office for 25 years and had been the postmaster for most of those years. He was a US Army Veteran. In addition to his father he is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Bradley Hornbuckle and husband Jonathan of Cherokee, Brandi Lee Bradley and husband Cameron Cooper of Cherokee, and Brianna Bradley of Cherokee, one son Jeffrey Bradley of Cherokee, one step daughter Chavis Ross, three granddaughters and one expected, four sisters, Pearl Dry of Claremore, Okla, Cinda Porter of Ada, Okla, Rinda Hathcoat of Phoenix, Ariz, and Debbie Conseen of Cherokee, and two brothers, Hugh Edward Bradley and Gerald Jack Bradley both of Cherokee. Memorial Services and visitation will be held from 7 to 9:00 PM Friday at Crisp Funeral Home. An online register is available at www.crispfuneralhome.org
